Former Anaheim, California Mayor Tom Tait Elected To Republican Mayors Association National Board

DALLAS, TX – The Republican Mayors Association (RMA) today announced the election of former Anaheim, California Mayor Tom Tait to the RMA National Board. The election of former Mayor Tait occurred by RMA National Board action taken on February 28, 2024.

“Strong conservative leadership can have an enormous impact on residents of cities – we saw that first hand with how Mayor Tom Tait transformed Anaheim,” said RMA Chairman and President Eric L. Johnson. “As we continue to grow the RMA, I am delighted to announce that Mayor Tait will be offering his insight and unique perspective as a member of the RMA National Board.”

“The RMA is the engine that will help drive economic prosperity and increase opportunity for Americans living in cities across this great nation,” said former Mayor Tom Tait. “Being elected to the RMA board is a great honor, and I cannot wait to work with Mayor Johnson and the great team he has assembled to help support common sense, conservative ideas and candidates who will help reinvigorate our country’s urban areas.”

Members of the RMA National Board solicit the advice of RMA Advisory Board members and vote on decisions pertaining to membership within the organization and on budgetary actions. Additionally, RMA National Board members help select mayoral races for the RMA to engage in.

Tom Tait served as Mayor of Anaheim, California from 2010-2018, the tenth largest city in California. During his tenure as mayor, Tait was nationally recognized for promoting Anaheim as a City of Kindness, bringing values of kindness to the city to build social infrastructure and stronger, more resilient communities. He is currently CEO of TAIT & Associates, a national engineering and environmental company.
