Republican Mayors Association Appoints New Mayor-Members To Advisory Board
Organization Also Announces First Executive Director

DALLAS, TX – Today, the Republican Mayors Association (RMA) announced the election of four new mayor members to the RMA Advisory Board. The election of Manvel, Texas Mayor Dan Davis, Newport Beach, California Mayor Will O’Neill, Middletown, New Jersey Mayor Tony Perry, and Clearwater, Florida Mayor Bruce Rector to the RMA Advisory Board occurred at a meeting of the National Board of the RMA on May 3, 2024.

Members of the RMA Advisory Board play an integral role in advancing the priorities of the RMA, including identifying and organizing the ranks of Republican mayors across the country.

Also at the May 3, 2024 RMA board meeting, Mike Demkiw was named the first executive director of the RMA. Demkiw has previously served in multiple roles for former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and also worked at the Republican Governors Association as their deputy communications director.

“The RMA was formed with the intention of engaging Republican mayors and winning mayoral races from coast to coast,” said RMA Chairman and President Eric L. Johnson. “The election of these mayors to the RMA Advisory Board gives the RMA truly national reach and further strengthens the foundation of the organization to further engage. I congratulate each of them and look forward to working alongside them.”

Chaired by McAllen, Texas Mayor Javier Villalobos, the RMA Advisory Board comprises current Republican mayors who serve one-year, renewable terms.
